Please take time to familiarize yourself with our policies to avoid misunderstandings later on!
OUR DEPOSIT (RESERVATION) POLICY
In order to hold or reserve a puppy, we require a small (non-refundable) deposit of $200. This can be paid through our online reservation system using a credit card or PayPal account. You can also reserve a puppy by mailing a check but all puppies are reserved by the order of deposit received. Your deposit will then be applied toward the final adoption fee of your puppy.
If you reserve your puppy with our online reservation system, you will receive a confirmation by email. If perchance you place a deposit on a puppy that was already reserved by another person we will give you the option to pick another puppy or promptly refund your deposit. The balance (plus 6% tax and microchip registration) of your puppy will be due in cash, check, or credit card via PayPal or Square.
There is a 4% buyers fee required when paying the balance with a credit card or PayPal. Your puppy however will not be released until full payment(s) has been received in full, and/or funds have been verified. We would like our puppies picked up at our facilities when they are around 8 weeks old.
If something should happen to your puppy while you have a deposit placed on it, we will let you pick another available puppy, use your deposit to reserve a future puppy on upcoming litters, or simply refund your deposit in full. If however you default or cancel and never pick up your puppy after reserving it, your deposit money will be used for it’s care and to help off-set the costs of trying to find it another home.
Below is our contract that you will sign at pickup.
Our Health Guarantee and Warranties
Health Guarantee: The Breeder guarantees that upon purchase, the puppy is in good health and has been immunized and wormed according to the health record provided. If for some reason your puppy is diagnosed with a major health problem and reported in a written statement by a veterinarian (DVM) within 72 hrs. after the puppy has left our facilities, we will replace your puppy. However, any minor conditions that are easily correctable and will go away, are not covered by our replacement policy.
1 Year Genetic Health Warranty: Our goal is to offer genetically healthy puppies. However, if your puppy is diagnosed by a veterinarian (DVM) to have a genetic disorder such as hip or elbow dysplasia (verified by OFA or PennHIP), pathological spinal disorder, luxating patella, or a continuing open fontanel within 1 year from purchase we will exchange your puppy for one of equal value. There are, however, no warranties against common sicknesses or accidents incurred on the buyer’s part after the puppy is in your possession.
*Due to the varying kinds of food and different environmental conditions the puppies come in contact with, and the fact that all puppies have immune systems that take time to mature, we highly recommend NuVet Plus immune system builder to help them maintain optimal health. We are so confident NuVet Plus will benefit your puppy that we will extend this guarantee by 12 months. To qualify for this guarantee extension, you must give your puppy NuVet Plus, using the manufacturer’s recommended daily dosage, for the entire guarantee period. Failure to do so makes this guarantee extension null and void. We care about the health of your dog and we highly recommend that you continue to give your pet NuVet Plus beyond the guarantee period, to promote the continuing optimal health for a lifetime.
The Buyer’s Responsibility: The buyer agrees to take care of this dog, feeding and housing it properly, maintaining its shots and dewormings, and providing physical and emotional care. The buyer will not hold the breeder liable for any billing charges, and the buyer also assumes all responsibility for any accidents or injuries caused by the misbehavior of the dog after it is in the buyer’s possession. The death, injury or loss of said dog due to theft, carelessness, recklessness, abuse, neglect, heat stroke or accident will not entitle the buyer to any compensation from the breeder. This dog is warranted only for the purpose of being a companion animal, and not for any other purpose or reason, such as breeding or show. *As the breeder of this dog, we, Albark Kennels, declare that this dog bring honor and glory to God the Creator and to help further the Kingdom of God .
We do hope that you will enjoy the new addition to your household as much as we have. If you have any questions please feel free to call or write us anytime. We will try to assist you in any way possible; however we will recommend that you follow the instructions of your personal veterinarian for your dogs’ continuing health and diet.
